A torsion spring failing is loud, sudden, and unmistakable. Our technicians match the correct wire gauge and wind direction to your door's actual weight, not a guess off a chart.
We calculate wire gauge, coil diameter, and wind direction against your door's actual weight before installing anything.
A single-spring swap on a pair often means a second failure within months. We'll lay out the tradeoff honestly.
Winding bars, proper sequence, and hands-on training are non-negotiable when a spring is under load.
We install springs rated for the cycle life your usage actually demands, not the cheapest option on the shelf.
Each service below is handled by a technician trained specifically for this kind of repair, not a generalist guessing at it.
Precise torsion spring replacement matched by wire gauge, coil diameter, and wind direction to your specific door weight and track configuration.
Extension springs are replaced in matched pairs with new safety cables, since a mismatched pair throws the door off balance.
Sudden spring failure gets same-day priority since a broken spring makes manual operation dangerous.
Older doors with extension springs can be converted to a torsion system for smoother, quieter, longer-lasting operation.
Springs rated for 10,000 cycles wear predictably. We'll tell you honestly how much life is left before it becomes an emergency.
A quick description of the spring symptom gets the right parts loaded on the truck before arrival.
Technicians arrive with multiple spring sizes and wire gauges already stocked, ready for common configurations.
Precise measurement comes first, then a confirmed flat price for the correct spring.
The door is verified balanced and safe to operate before the job is called complete.
“Diagnosed the exact wire gauge needed and had it on the truck already. No parts run, no delay.”
“They measured everything before quoting instead of eyeballing it like the last company did.”
“Balance test after the install showed the door lifts perfectly by hand now, opener disconnected.”
The exact number depends on your door's specs, but you'll see it in writing before any spring is touched.
On a torsion pair, we recommend both since the second spring is on the same wear cycle, but we'll explain the reasoning and let you choose.
This is one of the more dangerous DIY repairs in a home due to the stored energy involved.
Cycle life varies by spring quality and usage frequency, but a decade is a common lifespan for a well-matched spring.
Correct spring sizing protects both the door balance and the opener motor long-term.
Same-day service is standard, and the repair itself usually finishes within a couple of hours.
